Get out the limbo stick and get ready for fun when two kids from Trinidad turn a greasy old hamburger joint into the Carnival Café. Periwinkle’s newest play for young audiences examines what it feels like to immigrate to the United States and helps kids understand the need to respect other people’s cultures. Through the persuasive beat of socca and calypso music, Carnival Café introduces audiences to the Caribbean celebration of Carnival while it spins a heart warming tale of what it takes to find home in a new country.
