PERSONAL TRIUMPH OVER SUBSTANCE ABUSE
Five teenagers at odds with society meet at a drug rehabilitation center and discover they have one thing in common – substance abuse. Periwinkle’s powerful drama, Halfway There, explores the causes of addiction and inspires audiences to look below the surface and develop empathy for all those who are involved in the struggle against drug and alcohol abuse. After seeing the show, one eighth grader wrote, “Halfway There made me and my friends think about our decisions and choices that we make. We have the POWER to change…the choice is ours!”
